La Doublerais is situated in a small hamlet a few minutes drive away from the village of Isse, where you will find a supermarket, chemist, bar-tabac, bar with a restaurant and a boulangerie for your fresh bread.
Surrounding areas
Nearby there are three lakes:
The nearest is a couple of minutes away by car. Lovely place for a leisurely walk, a picnic an ideal place for bird watching also for doing a bit of fishing. (permit needed)
The second lake is just a bit further away.
And the third lake is about 15 minutes away, there is a beach area where you can swim, boats for hire and a small café down by the waters edge, also there is a creperie restaurant nearby.
- There is a nine-hole golf course and putting range just 10 minutes away.
- Go karting further on down the road.
- The town of Nozay has a lovely area where you can swim in the lake, play crazy golf, volleyball. Also there is a swimming pool in the town.
- Chateaubriant is a 15-minute drive from the house. Well worth a visit with its shops, bars, restaurants, indoor swimming pool, bowling alley,a chateau and a market, which is held on a Wednesday morning.

We have baby equipment for your use, two cots, two high chairs and a buggy. Also there are stair gates fitted at the bottom and at the top of the staircase.
Both the gardens are fenced in ideal for young children. In the back garden there is a patio area with B.B.Q, large table and chairs. A grassed area in front of the pool with sun loungers. An above ground pool size 10mx5m fenced in for safety with pool toys for your use. A table tennis table, swing area, dart board, badminton + croquet equipment, outdoor games for the children and boules. We have five bikes for your use when staying at the property also fishing rods if required. There is a river running along the bottom of our field ideal for a spot of fishing. (No permit needed)
